Problem
Campus Benefits’ website had useful information, but it did not clearly represent the company. Content was repetitive, important pages were difficult to find, employees were not featured, and some information was outdated or misleading. This made the website harder to navigate and the company harder to understand.
Make the website easier to understand and navigate while building credibility and keeping the company’s existing brand.
Project Goal
Restructuring the Homepage
Explain before asking
I introduced the company’s mission earlier and moved the appointment prompt lower on the page so visitors could learn about Campus Benefits before being asked to make contact.
Make contact easier
I moved Contact out of the “More” dropdown and into the main navigation, creating a more visible path to the contact form.
Before: Early contact prompt, long testimonials and Contact Campus hidden in dropdown
After: Mission introduced earlier, stronger social proof, Contact visible in navigation

Strengthen credibility
I condensed the lengthy written testimonials, incorporated leadership’s recommendation for client videos.
Before: Lengthy written testimonials were difficult to scan
After: I added a client video and shortened the written testimonials, making client feedback easier to scan and engage with.

Reframing the Company Story
I renamed Our Philosophy to Our Company and reduced three overlapping sections into one Who We Are introduction. This created a clearer and less repetitive company story.
Before: The company story was divided across three repetitive sections.

After: The content was simplified into one clear “Who We Are” section.

Putting Faces to the Company
When I joined Campus Benefits, I used LinkedIn to connect employee names with faces because the website did not introduce the team. I realized that prospective clients, partners, and new employees might experience the same disconnect.
I proposed a Meet the Team page featuring professional photos, names, roles, and short biographies. Stakeholders supported the idea and arranged professional headshots.

Keeping profiles scannable
Names and roles remain visible in the grid, while biographies open in a pop-up so visitors can learn more without making the page difficult to scan.

Keeping Content Accurate and Current
During the content review, I identified two pages that were difficult to maintain or did not accurately reflect the company’s operations. I recommended removing them, and stakeholders approved both changes.
News & Events - Removed
The page required ongoing updates to remain current. After discussing the upkeep involved, we removed it rather than keeping content that could become outdated.
Educational Resources - Removed
This page included resources for states outside Campus Benefits’ service area, which could confuse visitors about where the company operates. We removed it to keep the website accurate and relevant.

Collaboration & Implementation
I worked with stakeholders through three rounds of revisions and collaborated with developers in Figma. We used comments to clarify content decisions, maintain brand consistency, and resolve implementation questions before launch.

"I had the pleasure of working with Page on the Campus Benefits websites. She was a great client to work with—professional, communicative, and very collaborative throughout the project. She provided clear direction and thoughtful feedback, which made the overall process smooth and productive. I truly appreciated her trust in my work and her positive approach to collaboration. It was a pleasure working with her, and I would be happy to work with her again."

Reflections
The redesign was less about reinventing Campus Benefits’ brand and more about making the information they already had easier to understand and navigate. The company had established branding and valuable content, so I focused on identifying where information could be condensed, reorganized, clarified, or removed rather than redesigning everything simply for the sake of change.
Leadership wanted the site to feel clean and professional and gave me considerable flexibility in determining the visual direction. Because the stakeholders were not designers, feedback focused primarily on whether the content accurately represented the company and whether the final experience felt clear and polished.
This project reinforced the importance of design restraint. Improving an experience does not always require introducing something completely new. Sometimes the stronger solution is preserving what already works while improving hierarchy, reducing repetition, adding clarity, and addressing specific gaps in the experience.
